Outside, the garden is peaceful and safe. You can meet the animals, take a dip with the monsters in the pool, bounce to your hearts content on the trampoline and even play a leisurely game of petanque.

Join us for a summer evening barbecue and take a leisurely stroll round the village of Le Luot.

Heading outside the village, and travelling for just a few minutes, you can visit the weekly markets at Villedieu, St Hillaire, Granville or Jullouville. The local towns are also full of interest and a delight to explore. Start with Avranches, Villedieu or Granville.

If its beaches you want you will be spoilt for choice. Carolles and Jullouville are the pick of the beautiful sandy beaches with so much room for all! If you want to try something different make for the superb beaches just inside Brittany – sandy and still unspoilt.

In the evenings you can discover the wide range of superb eating places all offering a real Normandy flavour. We have restaurants to recommend in Avranches, St Pair, Granville, Villedieu and Beauchamp - you will not be disappointed!

Numerous leisure activities are just a short drive from the house. The superb karting track is literally just down the lane - and great family fun!

There is a first class country zoo; opportunities to go horse riding; race tracks to visit; golf courses and a wide range of historic buildings and sites of natural beauty.

No visit to La Merveille would be complete without a visit to the fortress of Mont St Michel.

The Mont dominates the local landscape and provides some breathtaking views. On the `Mont` you can make your way to the top and visit Normandy`s other famous `La Merveille`!

Further a field, you can conveniently reach all the D-Day landing beaches. The British beaches can be accessed through Caen in about 60 minutes. The American beaches are reached through Carentan and are only 80 minutes from the house.

We recommend you take in Point de Hoc; St Mere Eglise and the impressive American war cemetery at Colleville-sur-mer.
